Armenian Periodicals of Kuwait as a means of Armenian Identity Preservation

Abstract

The role of the Armenian periodicals published in the Armenian community of Kuwait from the point of view of Armenian identity preservation is presented. The periodical's role and importance in Armenian printing culture reflects spiritual-cultural, scientific-educational, social-political, socio-economic dynamics. The geography of Armenian printing houses is extensive. Among the databases on the NLA website, “Armenian Continuing Resources” have great importance. Throughout different historical periods, Armenian settlements were formed worldwide. One of those diaspora communities is that of Kuwait, where Armenian periodicals are published covering various realities.
