Postcard Collection of the National Library of Armenia

Abstract

The presentation discusses the 28.000 postcards preserved at the National Library of Armenia holdings. It aims to present the development, historical and cultural significance, types and preservation of postcards as non-book materials, not only in the collections of the National Library of Armenia but also in those of other libraries․ The processing and preservation of postcards as a separate unit in the Art department of the National Library of Armenia is presented. Some rare units will be presented as well.
