Abstract

Continuous professional development should be an integral part of the librarian’s work. Over the years, librarian’s participation in various workshops, training courses, on-site or remote seminars is very important for their professional growth, to avoid stagnation, to acquire new skills and knowledge, and thus to face the challenges that arise with changes in work over time. The talk presents the activities of the National Library of Armenia aimed at the professional development of librarians of both national and other libraries of Armenia, with the aim of creating prerequisites for professional growth and new achievements in the workplace.

Author Biography

  • TATEVIK TAMAZYAN , National Library of Armenia

    Tatevik Tamazyan is the Head of Circulation Department at the National Library of Armenia. She is the Licensing Coordinator of the Digital Library Association of Armenia. From 2013-2017 she was a postgraduate student in the Department of Library and Information Resources at the Armenian State Pedagogical University. From 2017 to 2018, she worked in the North Bohemian Research Library of the Czech Republic.
