Abstract

We touched upon the Armenian-Greek relations, the Armenian community, and the Armenian press in Greece. Due to historical and political circumstances, Armenians also settled in Greece. They created their own community structures, published the Armenian press and so on. The Armenian press of Greece touches on various issues: community life, Homeland-Diaspora relations, highlights the problems of the Armenian community of Greece, etc. The Armenian press in Greece plays a major role in preserving the Armenian identity within the Greek-Armenian community, especially among the younger generation, and contributes to the preservation of the Armenian language, traditions and customs.
Among the databases on the website of the National Library of Armenia, the Armenian Press database is also important, where the main bibliographic data of periodicals with serial numbers are entered. Digital copies of periodicals are posted under the “read online” link.
