HISTORICAL AND LINGUISTIC EVALUATION OF THE SYRIAN-ARMENIAN ANNUAL “GEGHARD”

Abstract

The article refers specifically to the Syrian-Armenian “Geghard” yearbook (1975-2000), which was published by the initiative of the Bibliographic Commission of the Armenian General Benevolent Union in Aleppo during the last quarter of the 20th century. It highlights the significant historical and linguistic heritage found within its pages. The publication of “Geghard” acted as a spark that awakened the Armenian mind from a deep stupor and directed it toward the world of knowledge.
