Possibilities and Prospects of Using Linked Data Technology in the Presidential Library

Abstract

The presentation discussես approaches to the publication of the library data of the Presidential Library of Russia among LOD (Linked open data) as an integral part of a unified digital knowledge space.  The basic model of bibliographic entities, their characteristics and interrelationships are based on the specifics of the Presidential Library, in particular on the integrated nature of the library catalogue.  The proposed scheme for linked data is basis on the conversion of records into the RUSMARC national format using the IFLA LRM conceptual model and standard ontologies.
