PRESERVATION AND CONSERVATION OF PRINTED MATERIALS

Abstract

Preserving culturally significant and rare literature remains a cornerstone mission for the National Library of Armenia. This essential endeavor is accomplished not solely through the fundkeeping departments, but also through the dedicated and meticulous efforts of restorers. Our task is to be consistent with the preservation of the library's funds, to restore and fix the book, document, literary unit of cultural value in such a way as to preserve its integrity and the initial natural appearance corresponding to the period of its publication, because literature is our history and we must pass it on to future generations.
