The role of libraries in the preservation of the cultural heritage of Indigenous peoples is great and multifaceted. Libraries
complete their collections with information resources in the languages of Indigenous peoples, conduct large-scale research work, generate bibliographic databases, organize cultural, and educational events, and exhibit work. The presentation provides an overview of international reference documents and best practices of the world libraries in serving multicultural populations.
