The Role and Significance of Armenian Studies and Reference Catalogues

Abstract

This talk presents and evaluates the role and significance of the Armenian Studies and Reference Bibliography Subdepartment catalogues. Nowadays the quick development of information and communication technologies, new opportunities appear in terms of more comprehensive study and promotion of Armenological research. The above-mentioned subdepartment catalogues have an exclusive scientific and informative significance. This subdepartment develops and catalogues articles published in periodicals and collections about Armenia, its regions, the Armenian people and Armenian diaspora settlements. Since 2013, an analytical description of the articles has been made and inserted into the “Continuous Resources” database of the National Library of Armenia.
